A poem: Living my birth place

I felt like an organism chased out of it natural habitat
I wondered and pondered why we were leaving
To me you are still as beautiful as ever

I felt like my adaptive features might not cater for me in a new place
My adaptive features were used to you
You are the best natural habitat ever

Living in you for years
Growing in you from a child to who I am today
Were the best moments of my live

Moving away to a new place
Is surely a decision I am not and would never be pleased with
I felt like I was going to be like a pin lost in the middle of the ocean

You would always remain fresh in my memory
The moments we spent together
Were surely the best moments ever

Oh! You are the most beautiful and most comforting
Will the new place be as beautiful as you are?
Will a new place comfort me like you do?

You are special in my heart- always proud to call you my home
The perfect place to live
Everyone lives in perfect harmony

If only I could take you with me
Under your roof
We all lived in peace

Be sure that you would always be in my heart
You have a room in my heart
Coz’ you once gave me the perfect room ever to live in

I wonder if this new home would also make us live in peace
Would I be proud to call it a home?
Would it give me a beffiting space to stay?

I have always felt the magic in you
You always brought good luck
Would the new house be magical too?

You are the best home ever
You would remain in my heart forever
Be sure that I wouldn’t forget you!
